Welsh Government has published a toolkit for employers giving advice on how to attract, recruit, develop and retain disabled employees, as well as what support and resources are available to help employers create a workforce that is representative and open to all.

The report titled A More Equal Wales: A practical guide for employers to employing disabled people was produced to encourage employers to hire more disabled people and create a inclusive workplaces.

The guidelines are based specifically on the social model of disability, giving practical advice on how to make recruitment, hiring, retention and development/progression accessible to disabled people. There is also a handy guide on using social model language and a list of resources and useful contacts including our project partners Agoriad Cyf, ELITE Supported Employment and Learning Disability Wales.

The guide is also available in Easy Read in English and in Welsh.
