The Engage to Change project has submitted a response to the Welsh Government consultation Draft Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Bill (PDF).

In our response we have emphasised the need to make disability accessibility integral to fair working conditions. While we welcome the strong place of trade unions in this Bill, we urge Welsh Government to also make sure disabled people specifically are involved in social partnership working.

We also emphasise the need to make sure that equalities outcomes are measured and that there is accountability from leaders. We need a cultural shift as well as concrete changes to make sure people with a learning disability and/or autism have the same opportunities as everyone else.
